Paladin : Nautilus

A sequel to «Argorhythm» that originated as an alternate idea while recording that piece. This is often how I get a seed for a new track and part of the reason why there are recurring themes across my music.

Originally it sounded very much like some kind of 'beach italo', the kind of thing that would have the sound of the sea in the background (and this is where the marine link with the title comes from). I disregarded it as a bit silly (which is interesting because I did the same thing with «Fantasia» from «Quest» for similar reasons) and then only came back to it recently.

I worked on it occasionally as a break from the moodier work on «Liminal» but took a long time constructing what I now consider to be pretty perfect interlocking melodies.
